What does Angad mean?

Angad, derived from the word "Ang," signifies "limb or an extension of one’s own body." Guru Angad Dev Ji, the second guru of the Sikh religion, was originally named Bhai Lehna. As a devoted follower of Sikhi, he dedicated himself wholly to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh faith. Before his passing in 1539, Guru Nanak renamed Bhai Lehna as Angad, marking him as his rightful successor. By selecting the name Angad, Guru Nanak intended for everyone to recognize Guru Angad Dev Ji as an extension of himself, embodying exceptional loyalty and faithfulness to the Sikh religion.

In honor of the second guru, Angad Capital seeks to be an 'Ang' or extension of its clients by offering tailored finance solutions and investment opportunities. Angad Capital is rooted in the same values that Guru Angad Dev Ji upheld—values such as commitment, integrity, and hard work—being integral to the identity of Angad Capital and the services it provides.
